1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, creating an account, or using the Requestam mobile application or website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use Requestam.

You are responsible for reading these Terms carefully and using Requestam only for lawful purposes.

2. Description of Service

Requestam is a request-first marketplace that helps buyers post what they need and receive offers from sellers who may be able to supply the requested product or service.

Requestam is not a seller, buyer, payment processor, escrow provider, delivery company, or party to any transaction between users.

3. User Accounts

To use Requestam, you must create an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information, including your name, email address, phone number, and any business information required for your account type.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You must be at least 18 years old to use Requestam.

4. Seller Verification

Sellers must provide verification information before selling on Requestam. This includes a Company Registration Number and NIN verification for the relevant seller or business representative.

NIN verification is processed automatically through a government-licensed verification provider. Requestam does not have access to the full NIN after verification. We store only the last 4 digits of the NIN for record keeping and verification reference.

The Company Registration Number is collected and stored for verification, trust, fraud prevention, and account review purposes.

Verification helps improve trust, but it does not mean we endorse a seller, guarantee the quality of goods or services, guarantee legal compliance, or guarantee that a transaction will be completed successfully.

5. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
• Engage in harassment, abuse, discrimination, impersonation, or illegal activity.
• Submit another person's NIN, Company Registration Number, business address, phone number, or other information without permission.
• Use Requestam for illegal goods or services.
• Interfere with platform security, verification checks, or normal operation.

6. Transactions

All transactions are agreed and completed directly between buyers and sellers outside Requestam. We do not process payments, collect payment details, hold funds, provide escrow, arrange delivery, inspect goods, verify service completion, or issue refunds.

Users are responsible for confirming price, condition, quantity, specifications, delivery method, payment method, timing, warranties, returns, and any other transaction terms before completing a deal.

7. Fees

Requestam is currently free to use for buyers and sellers. We may introduce fees, paid features, subscriptions, or commissions in the future, but we will give users notice before any such fees apply.

8. Content Ownership

Users retain ownership of requests, offers, messages, images, business details, and other content they submit. By posting content, you grant Requestam a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the platform.

You must only upload content you own or have permission to use. We may remove content that violates these Terms, appears fraudulent, or creates legal or safety risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

Requestam is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, seller availability, buyer demand, transaction completion, product quality, service quality, delivery, payment, refunds, or user behavior.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for disputes between users, failed payments, defective goods, delayed delivery, fraud by another user, loss of profit, loss of data, indirect loss, or any loss arising from off-platform transactions.

10. Dispute Resolution

Users should first try to resolve transaction disputes directly with each other. We may review reports, restrict accounts, remove content, or provide limited support where appropriate, but we are not required to mediate, refund, compensate, enforce contracts, or decide disputes between users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any legal dispute relating to these Terms or Requestam shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate an account if we believe the user has violated these Terms, submitted false verification information, engaged in fraud, created safety risk, breached applicable law, or used Requestam in a way that may harm users or Requestam.

You may stop using Requestam at any time and may request account deletion by contacting us.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Continued use of Requestam after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
